The BlackNorth Initiative 2nd Annual Excellence Gala, organized by the BlackNorth Initiative, took place on May 25, 2024, at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto. Themed “African Renaissance,” the evening celebrated African heritage and Black excellence in Canada, and served as an opportunity for guests to network and connect.

We are excited to share with you our latest performance report, a reflection of our progress and achievements so far at NOBEEP. This report represents our entrepreneurial community’s stories of growth, resilience, and success.

Dear Northern Ontario Community,

Over the past year, our dedicated team at NOBEEP has been diligently serving our clients and familiarizing ourselves with the unique landscapes of Northern Ontario. Through this process, we have identified a critical need within our community: an accessible Micro-Lending Program that provides NOBEEP clients access to financial support ranging from as small as $200 to a maximum of $2,000. Regrettably, there is currently no existing resource in Northern Ontario that offers such a service with the flexibility required to meet our clients needs.

On behalf of the board of the Afro-Heritage Association of Sudbury (AHA), we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2024 History in the Making Gala. We are deeply moved by the outpouring of support from the Sudbury community. The gala, a testament to our collective commitment to cultural celebration and unity, exemplifies the transformative power of collaboration and unity.
