Adebola, the Founder and Executive Director at the Afro Women and Youth Foundation (AWYF), has a big heart and passion for supporting racialized women and youth to build advocacy and leadership skills. She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator, Child and Youth Care Professional, Mental Health Professional, and Certified Personal Development Coach, Speaker, and Trainer.
Adebola holds a master’s degree in Child and Youth Care from Toronto Metropolitan University, a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Intervention from Seneca College, and a certificate in Advancing Women’s Leadership in Conflict Transformation, Peacebuilding, and Community Development from Coady Institute. She is a part-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) Professor at George Brown College, a Project Officer at the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care.
Adebola works from an anti-oppressive and anti-racist lens and continues to seek opportunities for meaningful collaborations and partnerships. She has won many awards, including the 2021 Ontario Premier’s Award, United Way Greater Toronto Black Leadership Award, Seneca College’s Stephen E. Quinlan Award, YWCA Sudbury Woman of Distinction Award in the social justice category, 2023 Canada’s Top 100 Black Women and 2024 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Honouree.
